Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, cream together softened butter and sugars until fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla to the creamed mixture; mix until smooth.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Prepare the filling by mixing brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  7. Roll out half of the dough on parchment paper, sprinkle with filling, and roll it into a log.
  8. Slice into rounds about ½ inch thick and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
