  • 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, brown the butter over medium heat until it turns amber and aromatic. Cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and spices; set aside.
  4. Whisk sugars, egg white, and pumpkin puree into the cooled butter until smooth.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips gently.
  7. Scoop dough onto prepared sheets about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 9 to 10 minutes or until edges are golden and centers are slightly underbaked.
