  • 500g flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 3 cups cooked white rice

Instructions

  1. Marinate the thinly sliced beef in a mixture of soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil for about 10 minutes.
  2. Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the marinated beef to the hot pan and stir-fry until just browned. Remove from pan and set aside.
  3. In the same wok, add minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped onion, and sliced bell peppers. Stir-fry until they are slightly tender yet still crisp.
  4. Return the cooked beef to the pan. Pour in the sauce mixture made from soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and brown sugar. Stir well until all ingredients are coated and glossy.
  5. Serve your Beef & Pepper Stir-Fry hot over steamed white rice.
